Written in May 2018, at one of the lowest points in my life. The song depicts how sadness and painful nostalgia can cause otherwise beautiful and happy memories to take a different flavour.

Trivia

• Parts of this piece were taken from a two-minute piece that I wrote for a composition class - the same class for which I submitted Soundbites as my final project. The piece was called "Newton's Cradle", written for piano and violin.
• The principal left hand pattern, first seen in the opening bars and then developed throughout the piece, dates back to 2007, when I was ten years old.
